The Sunderland and District Historical Society was established in 1989 to research, retain, preserve and present the diverse heritage of the Sunderland community.
The museum is located at 14 Church Street in the town of Sunderland, Ontario, Canada. It houses many artifacts from Sunderland's past and also has an extensive library of books, maps and local family histories.
The museum is typically open during Sunderland special events, i.e. Maple Syrup Festival, at our monthly meetings and throughout the summer. Please contact us to arrange special visits to the museum.
The society meets the first Tuesday of most months (Feb - June, Sept - Dec) at the museum at 7:30 pm. Everyone is welcome. Please see the events page for upcoming meetings.
Adult, student, family, organization and life memberships are available to purchase to the society for the following fees:
Adult $10, Student $5, Family $15, Organization $25, and Life $100. You will be added to our email list to receive our monthly meeting minutes and notices of special events.
